About Fabio

Fabio was born on the 21st March 1980 in Inhumas, Brazil. He was the youngest of six children, and lived there until moving to Portugal to play professional soccer in early 2000s. He was an outstanding goal keeper, and continued playing in both professional and amateur leagues his whole life.

In addition, he was a qualified slaughterman and moved to Australia in 2004 on a working visa. Not long after arriving, he met his future wife Alicia Cappello in Inverell, NSW. They declared their lifetime commitment to each other in Yamba in 2007 and their son Lucas Carlos Fraga was born in 2011.

Fabio had many nicknames apart from Fabean, including Doidera (Crazy) and ‘The Master of Mishaps’. He believed anything was possible and always attacked everything he did with 100% commitment.

This included climbing a tree to catch a wayward canary he had been bird sitting….which he caught….the canary wasn’t very happy about that…

Deciding to collect wild honey while on a fishing trip….the bees weren’t very happy about that….

Relocating plants that he thought would be happier at their home in Shailer Park than being neglected on council property….the police weren’t very happy about that….
